Hi! My name is Hiep Nguyen and I live in Jacksonville, Fl.
What inspired you to venture into modeling?
"I was actually approached by Nimble Made! I’ve never been the one to be shy in front ofthe camera so when I was approached, I thought, why not? I never turn down a greatopportunity and LOVE the foundations and belief on which Nimble Made is founded upon.Modeling is something that I enjoy doing in my spare time when I’m not saving lives bycrunching numbers as everyone’s CPA. Having this outlet allows me to think of differentapproaches when it comes to taking pictures."
How would you describe your modeling style?
"I love to model for people and things I believe in and fully support. With this beingsomething that I do in my spare time, I want to make sure that what I’m putting out issomething that I enjoy and that it represents me in one way or another! In general, I’m apretty laid back and goofy guy, so most of the time I try not to be too serious and be playfulwith anything I do. As for my modeling style, I personally find it very difficult to be seriousin pictures or sexy. I feel like my best modeling style would have be more candid or actionshots when there is something going on."
What do you hope people get out of your modeling photos?
"Whether it's happy, easygoing, excessive, or enthusiastic, I hope that I am able to portraywho I am through my modeling photos! With what I consider my best shots beingcandid/action shots, I want to let people know who I am without me having to express itthrough a caption. I do enjoy meeting people and I hope that my photos allow people to feelcomfortable when they meet me or aren’t afraid to run up to me at events!"
We created our Actually Slim Fit so guys could find confidence and feel comfortable in the clothes they wear. As an Asian model, what does a good fitting shirt mean to you?
"As an Asian model, a good fitting shirt means that the sides of the shirts are perfectlytrimmed so that there is no excess fabric and that it fits so seamlessly to my body shape. Agood fitting shirt has to be perfect in the sense that it is photo ready at any moment withvery little prep time. I love the fact that I am able to wear an Actually Slim Fit shirtcasually and professionally! Not only that, I feel comfortable knowing that no matter whatangle I am in or the body placement, it makes taking the picture that much easier!"
What is your full-time gig? Any side hustles?
"My full-time gig is being a CPA at a regional public accounting firm as a Senior AssuranceAssociate. I love what I do and the people I work with. I am a career man and because Itend to get so sucked into that lifestyle, I love having modeling as something I can do in myspare time. It allows me to use a different part of my brain that I don’t normally use in myday to day. Modeling isn’t just about getting your picture taken, but there so much morethat goes behind it. For someone like myself, I have full control over the picture, editing,lighting, and concepts and to have to think of every detail and draw inspirations fromother, allows me to work on my creative side! Other than that, I don’t have other sidehustles. I am trying to slowly get into sewing and improving my very broken Vietnamese.Who knows, maybe these can eventually become part of my side hustle later on in life ;)"
Place you most want to travel next?
"VIETNAMMMMM!! I’ve gone twice these past threeyears and it never ceases to amaze me! I absolutely love being there!"
Favorite song at the moment?
"STREAM FUTURE NOSTALGIA BY DUA LIPA. Nofavorite song atm but fave album LOL"
Your go-to outfit?
"Ripped blue jeans with a colored tee and some converses!"
Favorite Nimble Made dress shirt?
"Nothing beats the classics: The Crescent!"
Best menswear accessory you can't live without?
"My Apple Watch LOL I always have it on meand I love being able to change out the bands to fit the occasion!"
